Tell me what you are trying to measure and roughly what data you have. You will get a reply saying whether the measurement is feasible, what the feasibility assessment would involve, and what it would cost.

Nothing here commits you to anything. If the measurement is not possible on your data, I would rather say so at this stage than after you have paid for an assessment.

If the measurement looks feasible, the next step is a feasibility assessment at $500, credited in full against the project if you proceed.

For example: dsDNA on mica, nucleosome arrays, amyloid fibrils, lipid nanoparticles.

What quantity do you need out of the images? Contour length, particle volume, binding position, something else?

An approximate number is fine. It drives the estimate more than anything else on this form.

Deadlines, a grant aim this supports, a reviewer request you are responding to, or constraints on how the data can be handled.

Enquiries are usually answered within two to three working days, and always within one week.

What happens after you send this

  1. You get a reply saying whether the measurement is feasible on the kind of data you describe.
  2. If it is, you are quoted a fixed fee for a feasibility assessment and told which images to send.
  3. The assessment tells you how many measurable objects your data actually contains, and produces a firm fixed price for the full run.
